THE COLVILLE MUSIC CLUB
The “Colville Music Club” started in the late 1970’s in a small room in what is now Colville Cafe.
It then shifted to its present site,in a wool shed on a local Community just south of Colville village.
Here members can have rehearsal space to hone their craft and just have fun jamming with friends.
On Friday evenings the club has an” open jam night” where visiting muso’s and the locals can jam it out.
The area has a culture of making music . And has a strong muso base, that means there’s always someone working on a new song or set.
Over the decades the club has supported local causes by running fund -raising concerts in the local hall.
In the 1980’s these Hall dances were legendary and a high-light for a lot of the summer holiday makers camping out in the northern Coromandel.
